Okay, if it only happens under load then I'll go back to ignition timing. Any chance the trailing wires are crossed?

You mean from the dist to the spark plugs? Nope... they're all good.

Ok, crucial question here.....Do these rotary's have a 2:1 rotation between the eccen shaft and the dist? Cause for every one rotation of the drive shaft in this thing the dist only turns half a turn. So for one full turn of the dist the engine turns over twice....... is this normal??? Cause if thats true it's impossible to be off 180 degrees right?!?! Cause by the time the dist is half a rotation (180) the engine is now completely around one exact turn. So is there something wrong here?!?!?!

Have you tried running the motor with the belts off? You would only want to do it for, I don't know, maybe a minute or so tops (what do you guys think?). Anyway, you'd have to warm it up first, then pull the belts off. Only run it long enough to determine if the sound is still there. This would eliminate the possibility that the bearings are going out on your alternator or water pump.

If the sound persists, then its got to be internal. And sometimes those items mentioned can be very convincing when it comes to impersonating a bad motor.
Yes, this has been done on my car because I am having vibrations as well as backfiring/hunting/missing. Still trying to diagnose the issue since removing the belts, the vibrations was still apparent. I'm looking into ignition system now which led me to search spark knock. Next I am taking off the catalytic converter because if there is a clog (mine is breaking up inside) it could restrict exhaust flow and cause it to be unbalanced? I thought it could be a carb issue that a jet for one chamber is not flowing right but I talked to Sterling and he told me when the secondaries open and the car still vibrates then its not the jets, which he highly doubts too. Good luck with resolving your issue OP! I want to have my engine compression checked too. I also bought a new clutch and pressure plate assembly if my clutch now is not balanced right from the manufacturer. I will also have my flywheel resurfaced while its out.
