Kia 3rd member question

I was at the junkyard this weekend and saw 3 of them, but only tried to get 2. I could get everything free except the stock halfshafts out to drop the 3rd member. Is there a trick to this? I used a hammer and a big prybar but the bastards would not pop out.

EDIT, can a mod edit the title for me? I must look drunk......

slide hammer. but, its possible that theres lock rings that you will have to pop off that the diff to get the axles to slide out.

The big prybar has always worked in place of a slide hammer for me, but I guess its time for me to buy a slide hammer anyway.

yeah I guess. the trick? do the usual on the passenger side, then use the tire as a slide hammer. once that axle is out, work on the bolts that holds the diffy and the drive side axle ONLY!!! Once the diffy is hanging on the passenger side, its time for you to slightly yank on the diffy to separate it from the driver side axle (2 piece).
