jy fun

well i went to the jy today and found all sorts of good stuff for my 85 gsl. i found a perfect fender for 30 bucks that im going to put on sometime after i get it all painted, i found a perfect glass top for 22 bucks which made my day, and i also got 3 coil packs and a couple j109's for $35 for the better dlidfis system that im gonna start workin on too. i figured i'd get a few extras just in case. not a bad day i'd say.
anyone have any tips on the special aluminum braket for the j109's for the dlidfis, or can i just get a piece of Al from home depot and bend it to suit my needs?
i'm still all giddy like a school girl for finding the glass top so cheap.

The aluminium plate needs to be quite thick(at least 3-4mm) with good surface area so it disipates(sp?) heat well. You don't want the ignitors getting too hot and burning out. If you wanna check mine out go down to the thread titled "engine bay and dlidfis pics". That's if you haven't already.
