Just wanted to give some feedback on a MAZDA remanufactured engine I bought at Rick Case Mazda in Atlanta and installed in my 1984 GSL-SE. Very easy to deal with and install. I also install a Racing beat Header and Power Pulse Muffler at the same time. The car is running strong and I now have 550 miles on it. The only problem i had was an idle surge that was being caused by the 2 vacume valves located just below the BAC going bad.

Nice job! I put one in my '89TII runs great, pulls hard. Only have 1200 miles on it, but well satisfied.

I kept it stock as its my daily driver.

I had researched the other rebuild places, Hayes, atkins, etc and based on the feedback I got, I was concerned with them standing behind their warrentees.

 

What sort of a warantee did you get with it?

 

Mazda includes a 12 month, 12K mile. The cost was $1850 and included a new water pump and themostate and a resurfaced flywheel.
