Just a little something i finished today:

http://users.pullman.com/jsjensen/iotus/rx7/TII/

thought i'd share with you all what i finally got done.

The bay isnt nearly done, TONS of detailing left to do. Also, mass fuel leaks, need to fix that. Check out the oil cooler!!

Today i got the timing dialed in, purrs like a kittn. Now to fix those fuel leaks, get an exhaust installed (its REALLY LOUD), and install the e-fan!

yay.

I'm very happy now :-D

P.S., i still have yet to "drive" it. i dont want to get arrested for noise violations. its that loud (no exhaust, open downpipe w/ RB "silencer" as they call it).

Intresting.....

You should replace that upper radiator hose with a better fitting hose, the kink in it probably is not the best thing for your cooling system.

Looking good! It's nice to see you make some good progress, congrats.
Is there a blow-off valve on the turbo piping somewhere?

mazdaverx713b - Its L6 ocean blue metallic, very very rare color. I've only seen one other dude on the boards from england who has the same color, and one dude on e-bay sellin his ride a while ago (maybe the same guy).

Man i gotta tell ya, finding an intercooler is a MUCH harder job than i imagined!!!!!!

I'm going to get a medium NPR, i have an HKS sequential bov i'm gonna put on, but i'm gonna do that when i get the IC installed. (no BOV right now)

rhinor61 - Yeah i'm gonna get a really nice hose, i'm thinking of getting a different water pump neck too. I was gonna get some custom hoses made for it soon.

It is how it is right now just to hold me over until i finish the setup, NPR fmic, bov, 3" exhaust, boost guage mounting (not just lying in the passenger seat), finish removing all the old efi stuff from the engine bay, is all in order. Thats what i have christmas break for :-D

I also desperately need to get the turboII transmission and a custom driveline in there. Right now i have the gsl-se tranny/flywheel/clutch assy, and i dont want to drive it too long w/ that.

BTW - i just optimized the pics and cropped some of them, a bit better pic quality now.

Make sure you don't run that guy lean...

Keep the stock tranny in it for now. Although, I am not sure you can use the SE flywheel on the TII safely (different counterweights?)

Confirm this elsewhere though.

RB sells a clutch disk that has the larger T2 spline in the center but is 225mm instead of the 240mm for the T2. Lets you keep the stock flywheel and bolt on a T3 trans.

Whats a t3 trans? Funny, i just got done watching t3 (terminator 3).

Is its CPU a neural net processor? A learning computer?

Here are my options, 1) custom driveline w/ modified tii tranny to fit car, new clut/flywheel combo for the setup, installed, or:

simply get the appropriate counterbalance, RB lightweight steel flywheel for gsl-se tranny, and racing gsl-se clutch.

Turbo ppl, will that be good or will i blow the tranny?? Robert says stick w/ the gsl-se, he's never seen one go bad, even w/ ppl who bash the **** out of them (turbo ppl)....

I am waiting for my tranny to go pop too. I think I am pushing about 260hp through a 12A tranny and rear end.

Good thing I don't get traction.

Nice work iotus!

What's the estimated hp and torque from that setup, at what RPM's?

Gas mileage?

I'd also say run the tranny and differential until it gets cranky. Just no burnouts or clutch dumps.

yeah you could buy like 10 NA trannies for what it'd cost to swap a TII one in that you could still break.

Don't worry about the driveline unless you're doing hard launches. The SE one is surprisingly strong!

That is sweet. My motor is about to go out on it's last breath, I can only hope I can afford a setup like that.
