Just have to get it off my chest.

Hi, my name is rotor vs. piston and I have a V8 in my rx-7. I love rotories, I had a GSL-SE that I wish I never gave up on after making love to a ditch. But my V8 project was in the works befor that happened. Just had to tell someone my dirty secret, ah feel better now.

Ya, it's a 350 rated at 325 hp. To keep it pure I installed a five speed.

The ***** also had Auto Union build some of the greatest race cars ever. And Auto Union is what's then became Audi... (well Audi was actually a part of A-U, but they renamed the whole firm Audi for some reason)
But well, don't know why I'm saying all this... Doesn't have much to do with the topic does it???
Nice job, but you all now my opinion on V8 conversions...

I don't have any detail pics of the mounts and such, but I took the easy way out and used the kit that grannysspeedshop.com sells. They have pieces for any engine tranny combo you'll want to use.

i know, its such a dumb design. swapping plug wires on my TA kills my back having to lean over that far. And adjusting the timing is a royal pain. Oh well, other than that their good.

Dont forget the weaker blocks that chevy has... sure they are easier to make power out of, and cheaper because all the rednecks and there mama has one, but I would rather have a ford, if anything pist-on!

LOL

Peace...

WHy put a v8 in, seriously i mean wut the hell is the point, i mean id rather go rotary than v8 id rather have a 12a then a v8 if i ever had a piston in my 7 it would never be an american either, im kind of outraged haha but wutever floats ur boat. Man u buy a 7 becuz it has a rotary in it, plus u buy a FB cuz its light and it has a rotary in it, its like the rotary is wut makes it unique but then u put a heavy *** v8 it in it? Why not go 13b-rew? or something fun like that?

Let me just say this...I respect you coming out of the closet and saying what you've already done as opposed to mewing about what you should do. I don't like the idea of an iron V8 in place of the rotary because to me, that's like putting a iron V8 into a Ferrari GTO because you had problems with the flat 12 that was installed by the factory. Instead of solving the problem with the original engine, the cheaper route is taken but the purity is lost. At least you got an engine that can make some serious HP and wind up there with any rotary. What kind of rear are you going to put in back when this engine grenades your drive gears? Seriously...

The first step is admiting it, the second step is fixing it. It least you didn't put a Blue oval product in your car, thankfully
