Just got my car back from Mississippi and need advice

So I have a 1980 7, 12a, with a Racingbeat carb and maybe aftermarket exhaust not sure. Well I got tht money to get it back and now today it is sitting in the driveway. Other then that, The motor is locked up ran it outa oil back in MS. The motor still wont budge its been sitting with oil in it.

So this brings me to my questions... If i was to pull it and rebild it how hard is it to rebuild the rotary? or would i be better off getting a running 12a and dropping that in.

And i want to drop a TII motor in it but I have a gut feeling that it wont be as easy as pulling the motor and tranny and dropping the TII in

My ignition got tore up back in the day to so I had to hotwire it But when i got the pieces to fix it they didnt match and i can not seem to find the right parts to save my life

plz help

It is definitely not a "drop in" swap. You need to do wiring, rebuild, etc. It would be easiest if you were to rebuild your carb, drop in a good 12a, and have fun. Post more pictures of your carb setup.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to post some pics up of my carb.

New report about my car I was out playing with it and decided to try and start it just for ***** and giggles, and it autchally started to turn over but my battery is about shot so it didnt start or anything. It barley had the power to turn the motor. Well out of shock that it started to turn I turned it back off. Now it goes back to seeming like its froze. So i went back to playing with it again, every now and again it turns.

I starting to think its my starter... but idk why it would have killed the motor while I was driving down the road if it was my starter. And can I damage the motor if its turning on its own like that?

Heres some pics of the carb for ya'll

You need a _really_ strong battery to make those rotormotors start. And its not unusual that the battery cables are w-a-a-a-ay overdue for a replacement. New cables can magically "fix" all sorts of hard-start and electrical issues. Get some proper juice to the starter before you start thinking starter-swap. For starter peace-of-mind, it can be pulled and taken to any auto electric shop - they can bench test it while you wait, usually for free. Just 2 bolts hold it in place - just don;t forget to disconnect the battery first!
And finally - don't even THINK about running it w/o changing the fuel filter. Cheapest $3 you'll spend
