FL Just got done with the Bonez race pipe install..Some pointers

1st its going to take a long time...... i had every tool including a dremel and it took 2 hours. Then again i was working on rhino ramps...if i would have had the whole car in the air it would have taken me 1 hour. when you buy the kit it does not come with the hardware fore it. i used 4 3/8 2 inch bolts from lowes along with 4 nuts and 8 spacers. worked perfect. the gaskets i got from auto zone for 5 bucks.

the hardest part of the instal was this middle bracket that holds the middle of the pipe to the car. if i would have taken it off section by section i would have seen it but i tried to take the whole piece off. Besides that have a dremel ready just incase none of the bolts want to come off and you should be good.

Review- i can honestly say i was probably driving the car at 40% this whole time. i could not even peel out in first..... after the pipe it was like i was in boost the power that it freed up is bananas i thank you all for your help and if you have not done this mod you dont know what your missing.

its inherent to the design especially if you have a rich running car. or just got the car running from being flooded. there's only so much fuel it can burn in the time of a combustion exhaust cycle the unburned/still burning stuff gets pushed out the exhaust port. it builds up ignites and boom backfire. I've had 6" blue flames shoot out the exhaust tip after i flooded the car once. also retarding the ignition will cause this also. (like a rev limiter/launch control)

You will if u mess with the timing to get it to do that. Its not something u want it doing cuz it means ur not runnning optimally. U can also get em to backfire with a exhaust leak lol.

put a launch controll box in and you'll be able to do that. it basicaly lets you do near perfect launches when in WOT mode. because it retards the igniton when it gets to a certain rpm to hold it there wile you have your foot to the floor then you do your launch and dont have to worry about launching at too high of a rpm. some of the newer superbikes have a similar system taht lets you shift without using the clutch at WOT so all you do is pin the throttle and smash through the gears and it retards the igniton so you dont over rev it meaning you have full power as soon as you get it into gear.
