Just got an 85' Rx7

Hi! Im new to the board as you can tell. I have always been a fan of Rx7's and a week or so ago I became an Rx7 owner (not to mention a car owner for the first time)

About a week ago I was informed that a family friend was going to get rid of there old Rx7 by just donating it. I jumped on it and ended up getting the car for free. I drove over and checked out the car and found out it was in really nice condition. Apperently it was kept in great condition all these years. All it needed was a new raditator and maybe a new clutch.

So I towed it to my house, threw a new radiator in it. Had a shop put a new clutch on it (yea Im lazy and I didn't have to much free time) Now its up and running great. And the best part was, it was free (not inculding the minor cost of the repairs)

The car came with new tires, paint job, and stereo. I added a new clutch, radiator, and new rear hatch shocks

Here is a pic of my new baby

Oh yea, Hi EVERYONE!!! You'll probbly see alot more of me now that I have an Rx7

Wow thats a clean car. By the way welcome. I'm pretty sure everyone else is going to chime in on what to check for. I just wanted to suggest that you pull out the rear storage bins and check to see if theres any rust on the wheel wells. You can never be too careful.

I'm in love with your car!

Mine looks like a Rusted Can... But still I can't get over the smooth drive, and the fact that the body still looks sharp....

Sniffle Sniff... If only I had a better car.
