Talking Just brought it home

Just brought home my 85 today. The 12a is still kinda quick(especially for my first rotary). What is the first thing i should do to it. I have to stop drooling on it. It has the air pump removed and most everything else related to smog except the cats. Holley 600 carb But yea what should i do the engine and interior are clean already.

1st thing to do is service it.

Change the oil and filter , check the coolant , check the dizzy cap & rotor, leads , spark plugs , air filter , fuel filter and replace any thing that looks like it needs to be.

Running the cats without the air pump could produce drastic results! Get a replacement pipe for the cats or something.

Dont you have to worry about emissions?

Chicago is crazy about emissions testing....

Thats why I was glad I moved to Minnesota, with no emissions....

....and I'm now moving to Sedona, AZ.....with no emissions either.

I think the fireballs would cause me to fail the test. I dunno......just a guess.
