Jetting Qs

I just picked up an S4 NA motor, and am going to use my Mikuni 44s that I had on my SE. But the motor would knock real bad if I drove it hard, and Ive worked everyting else out but the carb. Ive got good fuel pressure, filters, spark, etc, so Im thinking it must be my jets or something in my carbs. Its just not keeping the bowls full. SOOOOO Im wondering what size jets I should be using, or any other settings that might need to be swapped/adjusted. Thanks.

Dude, there's not a whole lot of Mikuni carbs being used. They've had favorite carb polls that didn't even have the Mikuni on the list. Webers and Holleys and Nikkis ( and Sterling and Carl's modded Nikki's ) are the most common carbs on this forum.

I still run one ( for now ) but parts are getting scarce and other carbs have improved. With all the turbo and supercharging going on,the Mikuni's are kinda falling by the wayside it seems.

Now now, everybody play nice

I'm not sure who on here would know Mikunis, but consider this a free bump until someone comes along to help.

The reason David made his post is to let you know that it could be tricky to find information on the Mikunis since not so many people are running them around here. Hopefully you'll get someone to help out

Jon
