jerry rig 85 A/C

Well summer is rolling around the corner, so I'm looking at reconnecting the A/C in my car. If I re connect the stock ECU, will that allow my A/C to funtion with all the emission harness removed and everything. I've got the weber running on there, so I dont know if the a/c will still work like normal or not.

Why would you need the ECU to make the AC work?

it is JURY rig

The correct expression is "jury rig." "Jerry rig" is totally inaccurate as German engineering is unquestionably the pinnacle of quality. http://www.quinion.com/words/qa/qa-jur1.htm

i have no emmisions on my car. there only a couple relays that are in series, when one kicks off. it kill the system. and clutch off.

a freeze relay on the condesor in the dash, and a presure relay near the dryer up front, if i remember correctly they already have power, you just need to ground them with a switch (thats wut i did.

so those two relays and the clutch connector and your good to go. no ecu into play here.

Carl.

Maybe you're talking about the solenoid in the rat's rest that compensates the idle when the ac is working? if your engine idles at 1200 or more, don't think you have to bother with it. If your engine idles at 750-800 rpm, I guess you'd need it.
