im thinking the owner did the doors like that because he is REALLY FAT , and by having the doors swing up there was more room for him to get in!! nice

It doesn't look too bad, but gullwing would be better.

I really like it. I'm tall so that would make it so much easier to get in. Gull wing is gay and so is lambo. Only this one and Koenigsegg are good. Oh and Ford GT too.

It's alright, but not one of my favs and it's not the ugliest car I've seen. 680RWHP12A is right though, it's a 1st gen so I like it!!!!!!

Those would actually be practical in Japan. If you had gullwings you might as well not plan on getting out of the car if your in of the more crowded cities like Tokyo.

After staring at this picture for hours I've come to a conclusion.

It's air brakes!

It looks as if they originally intended to make gull wing doors, and then changed their mind.

and then when the cylinders get weak, I guess you lose whatever body part(s) hang out the farthest.

you obviously never been in a gullwinged car, nor seen many very close.
gullwing doors open in a much smaller area then "normal" doors, esp. long doors like first gens have them.
apart from that gullwings don't look to well on first gens because of the raingutters above the doors.

the car pictured is done ok, but I don't like that widebody with wannabe intakes.

i like the car just for the fact that its different. Thats one of the reasons i got a rx7 for my first car. Everybody else had civics or integras so i wanted to be different and i got a 7. I think it looks good.

Eliminating the rain gutters would be relatively simple in comparison with building the new door structure, windows, etc. Do you have any pictures of a gull wing RX-7?
