It's my car's birthday (track video)

Well, kinda, the car recently reached 130K miles (while it was on the racetrack). Here are some videos from my latest track day...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMxjOTB2uU0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7LmWHPYs0w

And the reason I'm now pursuing more power for the car

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXHst433xJM

(could have kept up with that vette if I have like 100 more hp... he couldn't really put distance on me in the turns...)

You can also see my older track video (including the one where my buddy was keeping up with a ford gt) here

http://www.youtube.com/whattheal

Also some pics of my latest toys - finally hooked up the msd to a fc coil (not sure if i'm going to keep this setup yet, a rb intake setup and a cusco brace) these things were put on after the track day).

What's next you might ask...

I'm pursuing several leads for a sterling carb (already have the holley pump and fpr). Also have these

and

These will hopefully go into the car next month.

Also going to get a fixed race seat because the recaro srd isn't holding me in well enough for the turns...

Just thought I'd share...

Alvin, I am interested in the Recaro if you sell it. You definitly need a better carb, your car is like my bro's down the straight.

I probably won't be selling the recaro, it's probably going to the passenger seat...

Peter, your time will come, keep in mind that I already went through school and all of that, this stuff gets expensive (I spent a good $200 bux just on gas for the tow and on the track). Though the thing that would really make you jealous is that this was a free track day... (Don't start emailing me about how to get one of these yadayada, I just happen to know the right people, and it is more like a once in a lifetime deal).

Glazedham42, you can get the cusco at rx7.com. I have the mazdacomp competition motor mounts on my car (which made the engine sit a little higher) and the fc alt, and in my case the bar comes in contact with the alt. I had to put a couple of washers in there to shim up the brace so that they don't touch...

That looks like exactly what I want to be doing when I get my FB back up and running. Except mine should have that extra 100 horsepower you are talking about.

Either way, that looks like about the most fun I can imagine. I wish I could have traded you places for that day.

Well, it's sort of a dual purpose car, so i'm limited to what I can do, I'm limited by CSP autox rules, which means I can't port the engine, and if I do a 13B, I would have to swap everything over to be legal... I'm going to try a carb and see where that gets me.

legal in CSP basically means no touching anything internal to the engine, so no porting, no lighten rotors or anything like that, you can use a engine from a different year, but the whole engine has to be swapped at the same time, can't built a trick engine from different year parts, well, not suppose to anyway...
