Issues running when not warm
Recently, my '80 has been acting much worse upon first starting. Even when it is above 90 degrees outside it still runs rather rough until the engine temperature warms up.
And when it is actually cold out it is just hopeless. I got off work one day recently when it was cold and rainy and it ran absolutely terribly. I am surprised it made it home. It would try to die anytime I let off the gas, and the backfires were rediculously loud. I think this might have been caused by carburetor icing but figured it was worth mentioning as it never used to do this.
Once the car warms up on normal days it runs perfect. I am not sure what the cause of this is and am looking for suggestions. I tried searching but found no one with the same exact symptoms as I am having.
Thanks,
John
