If you could eliminate the reflector, I'd be interested.

You're talking about a community that completely stripps our emissions equipment.

I will in the future try and have covers made that are flat instead of ribbed with and without reflectors and a flat center garnish to go with. Only way I can eliminate the reflector right now is with niteshades and it still functions

Not flat, though. Just without the reflector. There's a guy down here that replaced it with a clear, non reflective plastic. That might be a step towards accomplishing our goal.

Got some pics with the brake lights on. They shine through the Niteshades just fine

So is anyone going to follow through with these or is everyone just leaving me hanging?

While the lights shine through fine in the daylight, I did find out that they don't shine through the water that is thrown up by the tires in the rain on the highway. This was pointed out to me by IanS after the trip down to the Lawrence rotary meet, which had rain all the way, both ways.

If there is enough water on the road, normal lights wont even show up through the road spray. I've never had any problems with it but then again, I try not to drive in heavy heavy rain anyway. Anyone interested shoot me a PM

3 light coats. From what Ian said, it seems that the shading did make it harder for him to see me than if I had stock lights. Not trying to bag on the shaded lights, I like them. It is an issue that one should be aware of though as it does present a potentioal safety problem.
