My interior is in dire need of help. The maroon is faded to brown on the door panels and back plastic panels (like all GSL and SE's I see). I want to re dye them in maroon, and dye the inserts on the door panels black. I found a website with lots of color options. Can anyone help out on the color choices?

The burgundy looks close, but Im not sure. Also which black is appropriate?

 

Probably none of them, carl. You're best off calling some car interior specialist folks locally. I've never actually done it, but when the double-parking ******* who used to live next door hit-and-run somebody and needed his bumper repaired, their van said they can do custom color matched vinyl dye on the side

 

I sent a sample of unfaded vinyl to MolecuBond and they custom mixed a couple cans for me. SEM would probably do the same thing.

yea carl, i starting doing my whole interior in black and then said F%*K IT! i'm going to take it to a custom interior shop and have them redo it all in black for me. that way i can rest my arm during a drive and not get out with a black elbow.

 

Huh, no, I just meant get them to mix it for you. Remember to get plastic paint/dye for the hard parts and vinyl dye for the soft ones.

 

I think it was the same as the regular color, or not significantly more. I will try to find the old invoice and check.
