It will depend on your definition of streetable, as well as the local laws determining legality.
Adding power is pretty easy, try searching around and read the FAQ.

That would be improving from 9 seconds for the 12a. Limited Slip because the FB's I've driven even with light mods spin through first and 20 feet of second gear (with all-seasons). I'd like to know what 0-60 for rx7 with only exhaust is, since that's probably all I'll get to do for a long time after I get mine running(as far as a straight line goes). By the way 0-60 is not a good test, try 0-100 or 60-120 would be awesome, how about 1/4 mile times.

Oh, wow. I somehow read it as 1/4 mile of six seconds. My eyes are failing me! 0-60 of six is possible, although not very streetable. I personally base a car on it's cornering just as much as its straight line speed. Actually, it's more important to be able to cut my car through corners properly than to beat a mad tyte Civic hurst style on the stop light, yo.

That outta do it!
0-60 in 6 seconds or less would require about 200-225hp in a first gen. While its not hard to get 200+hp from a N/A 12A or 13B,when you get into those numbers with porting, the powerband has been shifted upwards, which reduces torque and drivabilty.A car with lots of power, but a narrow torqueband will almost always lose to a wide, flat torque curve.....IE turbo.
A stock TII engine makes 180-200hp with an equal 180-200lb of torque at a reletively low RPM,and holds most of it all the way to redline.I dont think it has to be mentioned how easy it is to get those numbers even higher, but a stock setup will be very reliable, very driveable, and will meet your goals.

0-60 in 6 seconds is completely possible and streetable.
Legal depends on one thing....emissions testing. You could probably pass a visual and "loudness", but those darn hydrocarbons are hard to trick.
Because this is such a determining factor of "legal" or "streetable", we will try both routes
A. No emmisions test:
1. Big streetported 12a, weber, MSD, full exhaust, light pulleys...would get you close to 6 seconds. A 13b with these mods would definatly put you there.
2. 13b turbo engine swap. Aftermarket turbo, Stand-alone ECU, fuel to support, drivetrain strengthening, TII tranny, etc.....Depending on the setup and $$$ could easily put you 0-60 in under 5 sec.
B. Emissions testing:
1. 13b TII swap. All emisions equipment and stock ECU. A few mods, but nothing radical would get you there.
Hope this helps...

Unlike what steve84GS TII and XLR8 say, you can have a very driveable 200 flywheel HP, normally aspirated engine that passes emissions. The power band is better than a stock S5. And yes, it even has low end toque. It's a street ported S5 13b.

No, you will not be able to run as much boost as a lower compression motor.

anyways, I can see a bridgeport 12a or even finding a rebuildable 13b and large street port or bridge porting it could be relatively inexpensive, but TII drivetrains are not cheap and are not easy bolt in mods. When you factor in the cost of a used TII drivetrain and ECU, rebulding the engine, and swapping out the 12a for the TII, I would guess the supercharged 12a would be cheaper and even more reliable.

I Agree for the most part, I think the t2 swap depends alot on how much of the work you can do yourself, I have heared of compotent mechanics completing the swap relativley inexpensivley (1500-2000 ish) and ending up with a reliable emmisions legal and realy fast car. where ase the camden is gonna cost about $3,000 once its all said and done and you include the new carb your 'gonna have to buy.
any way if I chimed in negatively about the camden just because of it's price it's just because I really want one and cant afford it right now (dammit!!)
Blah, Blah, Blah, see you all tomarow

i did 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, and the quarter mile in 13.8. All i had was a bolt on turbo kit that cost me 700 bucks. 190 rwhp. I just dumped 3000 in it though so i could rebuild and port the engine, Bride racing seat, water injection, fuel pump, blah blah blah. i expect 280 at the engine. Oh, and its streetable. Emmissions??? HAHAHAHAHA. i premix, with a 3 inch straight exhaust. i hope i never have to pass inspection...
