the only factory 2 tone that i know of is with the tan interior ,but personally didn't like it much. Red and black or red and blue might be better ones, something like in the RX-8 interior

I have a little bit of a mixture of a maroon and grey factory interior. It doesn't make the car look amazing, but it doesn't make it look any worse either.

I think it all depends on what colors and parts your swapping, a black top of the dash, with the maroon center consol and glove box would look terrible.

What parts are you thinking of doing?

i am wanting to swap out the lower dash , tan on bottom , grey on top ... tan door inserts and grey panels from a gsl-se . maybe tan carpet . but the seats i want two tone as well .do a little custom job on those .kinda like the older viper rt/10s with the tan and black interiors . make the thing stand out a bit at car shows the trunk carpet woudl remain grey though ... or not i havent really got that far with it . i know i want to two tone the dash first then the door panels .

other than tint, its the only modification on the car ..... but a good one. Turns out an early 90's miata cup holder accessory snaps perfectly into the ashtray slot ...got it on ebay for $12.

My car has a factory two tone...black with perforated leather seats where you can see red through the perforations, and red parts on some of the trim here and there to match...same in the back seat. Although it is a 78 from japan...so maybe this was only available in japan the color combo that is...the back seat was def only available in japanese models? I asked the original owner and he said that's the way it was new from the dealership when he got it in japan...

Lol, well I can take a picture of the interior parts...the interior is currently completely gutted. I'm restoring the car from the ground up. I'll be finished with the interior by the end of not this weekend but next weekend. I can take pics then?

Heres mine using all stock parts.Of course, its all dirty in the pics.Ill probably switch to black floormats in the future too....
The carpet is cheap VB junk,Im gonna do it over again and have a pro install quality carpet in the same color. The seats are premium GSL units with tan naugehyde (easier to care for than leather).
I left the rear area, headliner and dash/consol all gray. The floor, seats and lower door/kick panels are tan.The interior used to be red,so I really enjoy the change of color and the uniqueness of two-tone......

I'm looking to bring a silver/aluminum contrast to my red interior, I don't mind the red but it needs updating, I'm gathering parts to do it, will post pics when I get it done....I'm not a fan of Carbon Fiber in 80's style cars, so I'm trying to use materials that both; freshen ,but keep the old skool style.

My formerly owned '79 Nissan Fairlady had a red and silver interior. At first I didnt care much for it. After awhile I started to like it. It wasn't available in the US version. Pretty unique here and kind of gaudy.
