Interest in hub adapters? 4x110 -> 5x114.3

Hey everyone, I've searched around a bit and couldn't come up with anyone that makes the hub adapters for the FB's with the odd ball 4x110 bolt pattern.
I'm just curious to see if anyone else would be looking to get a set of these made up and how much you'd be willing to spend?
One place in Austrailia sells a 4x110 -> 4x114.3 adapter for $100 AUD each corner, but the shipping really sucks because of the weight of them.

Anywho, let me know if your interested.

FYI- i had some 4x114 to 5x114 adapters and i hated them. why? due to the fact youre going from a 4 lug to 5 lug pattern they have to be really thick. they made my rear wheels stick out extremely far. i got rid of those as quickly as i could.

Like how thick are you talking? these adapters are 3/4" thick.

i bought some adapters about 2 weeks ago from this shop.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-C...spagenameZWDVW

They are called Motorsports Technology...they guys build any type of adapter you need. Email them FIRST and tell then you need a 4 Lug to 4 Lug (in which ever patter you need) wheel adapter for a 1985 Mazda rx7. Tell them whats your current bolt patters ( 4 x 110mm) and they will give you all the info you need. I KNOW THEY CAN BUILD IT!

one of the members here pm'd me this info. and so far so good. pm me if you need any other help

Better off to get the rims re-drilled by a professional wheel shop.

I still prefer the option from REspeed ... maintains same offset, but compatible with all T2 brakes.

There probably is a demand for adapters that are redily available. I was looking at some, but didn't exactly like the way most are designed. The easiest way I have found thus far is to redrill the stock rear axles and use a 1/2" spacer then use adapters on the front, 1" thick. This allows a very nice stance with 38mm offset wheels. Here is a pic of my car from this past weekend.

Just so you all know, I redrilled the rear axles for 5x108 and used a 1/2" aluminum spacer. For the front, I have the respeed big brake kit, then had adapters made 1" thick to convert 5x114.3 to 5x108. The wheels I already had from a previous car and they are a 5x108 bolt patter, 16x7" wheel 38mm offset with a 205/45R16 BFG G-Force Sport tire. BTW, the front adapters were made of steel, not billet aluminum like most manufacturers, so they are a little on the heavy side but almost indistructable.

they were more than 3/4". if you can make them thinner then i think you may have something.

Following up from this old thread is anyone aware of companies producing an adaptor to 4x114.3 to 5x114.3 or is re-drilling hubs etc the more practical option for my S3?Or are there any other options(at the budget end of the market) to convert over to the 5 stud which would also bring bigger brakes into the equation? Just thinking out loud currently for an S3 based track and street toy.

Regards,

Check out www.re-speed.com They have kits to convert to 2nd gen TI brakes (5x114.3). You get bigger brakes and the 5 stud pattern.

just curious... has anyone ever heard of or have any interest in a hub adapter that would go from 4x110 to 4x100???

Then we could use all of the miata wheels... my friend has one and he has way too many wheels to choose from!

If anyone is interested there is a local guy who redrills axles and hubs from the 110mm to the GSL-SE 114 or mustang 4 1/2 pattern..
(PM me for his contact info)

this way you can run both se and non se wheels on the same suspension.
one of my friends went the oposite way where he re-drilled his GSL-SE hubs and axles to the older 110 so he could throw on winter tires..you have to grind a bit off the rear caliper but works...

wheel spacers and not a good solution to change bolt pattern..

correction about using 4x100's the bp circle is too small.. it won't leave enough material on the spacer.
