Interest in CP Racing Rack and Pinion kit?

I'm just curious how much interest there is here in CP Racing's R&P Conversion Kit. I ask because I'm working out a group buy with them right now.

I know a lot of people were waiting to buy theirs for whatever reason, this would probably be the best time. The difference in cost would be fairly good, and obviously the more people we get, the better the price will be.

So who's interested? Post here if you are so I can get a basic idea of just how many people we can get!

Sorry, for those of you who don't know, these can be found on their website (http://www.cpracing.ca). Go to Products > Mazda > Stage 2 79-85 Mazda Rx7 Rack Conversion Kit.

My only advise to you, pay half now, half when you get a tracking number!

If there's enough interest and we can get this going, I'm going to take deposits. I happen to live very close to CP so I will personally assure that they're all shipped out in an orderly fashion.

if you can get them for like half of what they want then I'd be interested, otherwise too much $$$ for me...

How soon are we talking here? My box in my new car is done for, so a Rack and pinion kit would be just wicked.

Id like to know a price on the group buy.

I can set it up within a week if there's enough interest. Transaction would go down in about a month or so, I'll work it out.

Since you live near him tell him i said HI and tell him thanks for giving me the run arounds and for not shipping my bars. Oh and i totally think he is a big fat liar. He lied to me big time. He told me that my stuff should've been here but the reality is that the package never left his shop or house or whatever. 2 months wait and he never replied to my emails and probably blocked my #. Who knows but i think he is a very BAD business man and i would hate to hear another bad story with CP RACING not shipping what people pay for on a timely manner.

I agree with The Wankler. Pay half then pay other half when you get a tracking #. Better yet do it COD.

I'm interested, but only if these are the new kits with the better-than-stock lock-to-lock ratios. Also, the discount had better be decent. 10% just isn't going to cut it, what with some of the engineering questions with this kit (steering shaft connection, U-joint binding).

I have the cash but Im worried about delivery time I would build one my self rather than wait 3 months. I have bought things from Chris in the past and think he is a cool guy. I just dont think time is a big issue for them work out the details and post back or PM me

It should be yes.

They are. And yes, the discount would be quite significant. Furthermore, these bugs are non-existant if the kit is installed properly! Both Chris, Pat and several of their employees are using these kits on their personal cars and have done so for quite a while now without a single related issue. Also, I've spoken with several of their local customers who are running these kits and they've had no problems either. It's just an issue of installing it properly.

When you say significant how much do you think? half? 40% off? also, the number of turns lock to lock should have nothing to do with installation since the rack itself would dictate that, have they done anything to fix this? I may still be interested, depends....
