intake mani discussion

ok the stock intake has all kinds of crap in it that shouldn't be there, even when you remove the stuff theres voids in the runners where the crap used to be. My question is has anyone bolted on a Holley intake kit and then made a spacer to accomadate the nikki? I'm just wondering how well this would work. Any thoughts welcome.

I think it would be really hard to adapt. The Holley intake runners are HUGE. The velocity would drop like a rock as soon at it leaves the carb. Prolly make nice power above 6k or so, but would be a dog down low and midrange. Maybe if you chopped off the vertical part of the manifold and used the top of a SA or Rx3 manifold you might get something that works.
