Insurance on a FB

How much insurance are you guys paying for your FBs? They aren't real fast so I would think it would be high. How much do you think it would be for an 18 year old male that hasn't been in an accident and hasn't gotten speeding tickets?

Thanks in advance.

with my bad driving record (too much speeding when I first got my liscense) I pay about $95 a month through Geico, but I wouldn't suggest them. Don't count on being able to get a claim taken care of easily through those people. I too am 18, have no accidents, but have three two-year-old speeding tickets, each of which was for more than 25 over the limit.

I am 25 years old, clean record, and I pay $232 for 6 months through USAA. Though I have no collision insurance, only liability.

Right on.

Once our cars are 20yrs old we can get 'classic car' insurance, which is way cheaper. Or so I hear.

Most companies (mine is thru progressive) have a system that is comprised of a base rate, and then multipliers for driving records, flashy cars, expensive cars etc etc...

The 1st gens don't do anything to give you a higher multiplier than your base rate. So that being said, with a 1st gen, how much you pay is only related to your age, sex, record, and location....

Again, this is just with progressive, and some other piddly company I've worked with.

90$/Month......... CANADIAN !!!!!! 19 year old male driver, 1 speeding ticket, 2 speeding warnings and 5 Excessive Noise warnings in 3 years. The noise warnings are my favorite, I think I'm gonna have them framed, lol.

Even though our cars aren't fast they are classified as sports cars so they **** us on insurance. I pay $100/month for liability. I'm 17 and have had my licence with no tickets since July of 2001. NJ sux for insurance, the onlyu reason mine is cheap is because I'm on my dad's business "fleet" policy, this June, when the car is gonna be put in my name, insurance will be almost $140 a month!!!! ******* insurance blows. It's so gay, the car isn't fast at all and the insurance is $40 more than my Dad's accord (which could, and has, blown my doors off) To make it even dumber, My 82 Trans Am was the exact same rate! That thing is so much faster than my FB but since the FB is a "sports car" it must be fast right? **** insurance, it sucks.

Hey rotormotordriver: Is that for full coverage on everything? I would get that but I've almost paid more onm insurance than I did for my car. Oh well, I too love my cars too much to let insurance dictate what I drive.

$30/month libality only. I have no speeding tickets in 5years. Plus this car was declared totaled when it got hailed on. The deer damage was a slap in the face. Man, what a year 2001 was. <sarcasism> All and all, its a 60yarder now, but runs a bridgeport and still turns heads, and when they see it closely, they feel sorry for it. LOL

I'm 33 with a clean driving record. With Allstate I pay $53 a month for full coverage (minus collision) $84 a month with collision. I've also heard that because our cars only have two seats, that's why they are classified as sports cars.

CHEMICAL: Actually I DO have collision, someone told me to drop it because ICBC would just look at the book and write-off the car for any kind of serious damage. Dropping it would lower me to 80$/month yeeeeeah.

I used to pay $95 a month for my GS, a GSL-SE, and my Protege.

Now its about $120 for a TII, GS, and Protege. Liability only, my cars are too cheap to bother with full coverage...

Im 17 going on 18 in july. I have had my liscence since august 2001, never even been pulled over (probably because my car before my 7 was a EX-police crowvic -- whatever). My insurance is like 500 every six months with state farm (just liability).

vladu13- i wonder if you add a back seat if your insurance would go down.
