Installing a -se tank in a SA

I need to swap my SA gas tank with a gsl-se one. I removed the gsl-se tank and was wondering if I need the valve that the tank lines run to? Is it a ventilation valve? Should i use that or just run the lines from the tank to the feed/return lines? Thanks.. Going TII in the car.

The SE tank will not fit correctly, they are not the same size.

I had this problem, while building my GSL-SE 1900lbs SA,

I cut the spare tire well out, and put it back in from the top, fit the gas tank in and then cut slits down the top of the well, pounded it flat with the rear floor and welded it back in, worked like a charm.

You probably should. The valves cut fuel in case of a roll over. They aren't hard to hook up, just not sure where you would have room for placement.

forget the way it is hooked up in your sa hook it up the same was as if it was in the gslse no need to cut anything just use longer bolts and spacers or even washers would do to mount it. use the metal supply line on your sa for the fuel return line and run a new supply line out of braded. the sa return line is too small and will result in poor control over your pressure and cause all kinds of problems. use the valve for the gslse not the sa valve it does a few things, venting is one of them.

I will hook it up just like it's installed in the -se, that will be easy.. I was thinking of just using the gsl-se hard fuel lines.. Will that work?
