installing coilovers on 85 gsl
i have the eibach/ground control 2 1/2" springs, with generic perch (coilover) from a civic for the front, and the rear springs with the 5 dead wound coils.
i assume the rear will be pretty straight forward. remove shocks, drop the rear end down, remove springs, then reinstall springs, check ride height, and cut off coils to adjust to my liking. (if there's something missing please tell me)
as far as the fronts, is there anything i should know? what do i do with the spring perches, do i just rest them on the stock perch? or???
i remember someone saying you can weld the coilover perch to the stock strut housing, is that a possibility? i don't know what the coilovers are made of, but they are pretty light, so i assume aluminum? can you weld aluminum to strut housings?
