A RB holley 465, weber 45, mikuni 44, sterling, or edelbrock 500 would bring a very nice performance increase on a stock or street ported motor.

sounds great. glad you like your exhaust. a Holley will be an awesome addition to your setup once it's tuned.

i can't believe i'm saying this, but don't port that motor until you HAVE to pull it apart. at 66K original miles, just take care of it and enjoy it. however, whenever you are ready to port it, think of me.

i guess i need to read up on the fb more... does the nikki not supply enough fuel to the engine or something? what does the holley do differently?

and about that holley you're selling... im getting deployed to the persian gulf very shortly... i'll hope that you have it when i get back... in ~7 months.

and what do the metal plates cover that came with the system? they look like block off plates, so im assuming ACV or something? and what about all of the ex-air pump crap, what do i do with the air hoses and whatnot.

Yes they are block off plates.

The air pump is useless now, remove it and while your at it you might as well take off the rat's nest.

This is a link to the step by step instructions on removing the rats nest and air pump. http://www.ten15.net/Maz.Tutorials/index.html

I don't mean to hijack, but has anybody else's 3L220 belt stretched on them?

you can always have your Nikki modified and built by Sterling or Carl as an alternative to a Holley. shouldn't cost you any more and based on what i've read, it looks easier to tune. at the very least you have better support for tuning. just something to consider.

I second diab1 - take a good look at Sterling's Nikki-modded carb (and intake too) -

Roundabout: Pineapple racing (.com) has a custom-made Yoohoo belt you might want to try instead...

What he said ^^^^

Unless your gonna go with a large streeport or something larger than thatI would keep it stock. Not sure about you but when I lived in tampa FL the emissions were very strict so doing something larger would be hard to keep it to pass and also take away the longlife of the motor.
The nikki would help tune it in and would wake up your stock motor.
