Injectors not firing on SE swapped SA

Hey everyone, i have gotten everything together on my swap here but it seems as if the injectors are not firing, I have fuel to the rail but no injectors firing...I am still running the J-105 ignition system and was wondering if I need to swap it over to the 109's? I am kinda lost now since its not firing the injectors....HELP!!!!!!!

I had a similar problem that the injectors didn't fire. My solution was the trailing ignition coil wires had a break. Somewhere in the factory service manual noted that injectors won't fire if there is a problem with the ignition.

You can have power at the injectors, because the ground is what triggers them. Even a bad coil could cause this problem.

j 105 or j 109 can't remember what that refers too but if it is the distributor than I ran an 1983 12a distributor on my 1984 gsl-se with no problems.

I doubt that it's the J-105s. They send a signal to the coils telling them to fire the plugs. Has nothing to do with injectors.

I really doubt the coil is bad because i have fire on all of the plugs...(sorry forgot to mention that earlier)...

If all 4 plugs are firing, then the ignitors are good. I'd start by looking for differences in the wiring diagrams between the 80 and the SE. i.e., what signals the ecu to fire the injectors?

ok guys i have continued to troubleshoot this car, i have fire at the plugs, power to the injectors, the car is getting the signal from the coil to the ecu and I am not sure how to tell if the ecu is bad or not but thats what i am suspecting.

The ECU also needs a tach signal in order to time the injectors. Check the yellow 4-conductor plug near the firewall in the EFI harness. It has two hot and two signal wires (parallel to avoid dropping tach pulses).

Ya i have run another wire for that because Sam (bad 83) and I stripped the harness and made sure to include a wire for the coil
