Injector rebuilding
Injector rebuilding
I have had some leaky injectors, and the cars been in the shop all week to get them out, and a few other repairs. I got them out today, and my insulators are completely mangled (they're tear shaped unstead of round), but nothing else looked obvious to me. And I would like to ask you guys who have had leaky injectors and solved them. I have order some new o-rings, gromets, etc. Everything but the plastic clip that the electrical connectors go to, and the injectors themselves. Now, from your guys experience with this, are new seals and insulators good enough to stop the leaking, or do I need to go further and have the whole injector sent out, rebuilt, or order some new ones.
If there was no fuel on the outside area of the injectors or surronding area then they are not leaking externally or have leaking O'rings.
If you were having a flooding problem with the engine then 1 or both may be leaking internally or have a bad spray pattern.
