Info on FB carbs...

what brand of carb came stock on FB's and perhaps the model number... I am looking at rebuilding my carb and the guy that is going to help me wants to know some info before we get started... I think I remember seeing something about our carbs beings Nikki 4 Barrels

yep, that is what I heard, and they are like 300cfm or something I believe. Not sure tho, but I do know they where custom made by Mazda.

They are Nikki carbs made by Hitachi specifically for Mazda rotary application. The evolution of this carb has everything in the world to do with emmisions control.
The rebuild is pretty easy. Just take your time.
Get a rebuild kit from a generic auto parts place. Shop around by phone. I've seen them for as much as forty bucks, and heard as little as twenty. Same kit.
Be specific to the moron on the other end of the phone. You need the kit year specific.
