Info on Draw through TURBO setup???
Ive been doing a lot of research on draw through turbo/carby setups, which I currently am running. I was wondering what the maximum boost is that you could run before detonation occurs.
Also, I was wondering what the equivilent boost would be to a blow through system. Because gasoline is being compressed by the turbo, it creates higher PSI than a simple blow through setup. Any information on drawthrough setups would help.

Those draw through setups used to be sold in kits and are far and few by now. Do you already have these parts, because I know from my experience searching for such items turned belly up for a rotary that is. I have seen 1 kit on e-bay before, but honestly dont know too much about it. The way I look at it as its bascically a supercharger powered by the exaust pressure. As far as I could tell is the psi isnt controlable? It looks like it depends on the size and flow of the turbo itself. I'm trying to work things out myself to get a fuel injected tbi turbo 12a going. Hope I helped a little.

Ok this is how it works. Theres a manifold that the carb sits on swoops down into the turbo itself. That gets compressed right into the intake ports. The other shaft of the turbo is spun by the exaust, so it compress's the fuel and air in the turbo. Like I said, it's pretty much a super charger ran buy they exuast, like the camden super charger where the carb sits ontop of it. Thats the best way I can describe it.

in a drawthru setup the turbo is between the carburetor and intake plenum whereas in a blow thru it's between the aircleaner and the carb...blowthru's have less restriction for incoming air while drawthru's have the carb restricting the flow of incoming air
