Info on antenna for '79 Rx7

Any idea if the motorized antenna for the '80 Rx7 can be installed in the '79? The antenna for the '80Rx7 was 8" longer than the one for the '79.

Thanks.

P.S. If anyone knows where to buy a motorized antenna for the '79 Rx7, please let me know.

Welcome to the forum.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the screen you will see a "Similar thread" box with related threads on the subject. When you start a thread and have the title similar to what you are looking for then there will "Hopefully" be some related threads in that box. 79, 80 swap no prob - better reception (claimed) with 80. Later 81+ FB models may actually install OK, but wiring is different since they are "auto-on" antennas..
Where to buy: ebay has them every so often. About $25. post a request on Forum in Want to Buy section...

Still looking for the '79-'80 Rx7 antenna

Thanks, Stu, for the information about the '80 antenna being compatible with the '79 Rx7, and where I might find one. My search continues. Mazdatrix says they no longer have it in stock and Antennax is a little vague--they say their replacement motorized antenna fits every model Rx7. Rx-7 Doctor wrote that Harada makes one for the Rx7 but I couldn't find it. I'll keep on looking.
