Ask and ye shall receive ....

So here's a full sized version that will print at the correct 3.5" diameter at 300 dpi with the 1985 in outline script. And a final sticker version on the car.

No, that was one of those eBay replicas made from a scan or a macro photograph. But it looks like even the original sticker has a rather crude resolution that seemed to improve into the mid 80s. Maybe the designers finally starting using the original Macs with desktop publishing software!

Oh, I need to read better, here's 1985 in nonitalics!

Stupid question, but this just dawned on me......

Wouldn't an 85 SE come with an 84 sticker or does it depend on build date?

Everyone I know of that has an original IMSA sticker it is one year older than their car. 1985 got a 1984 sticker, 1984 got a 1983 sticker, etc...

Looks much better without italicizing. Wonder how well the ink would hold up in the sun though (for people who park outside)

I'd love to have one, or two if that's easier for whatever reason. I have a 1985, so I guess I need a 1984 IMSA sticker.

How do I go about ordering?

And, I'm impressed! Nice work!

Here I go being a pain again.....

can you make the years a little bolder and compress "1984" vertically a bit.

Here is an original:

Just FYI. I'm not trying to replicate a specific year sticker to a specific year of car. I'd rather see something that more just celebrates and acknowledges the acomplishments overall. I'd rather see a sticker that incorporates all the championships won in that period. 80-85. I guess to SA owners, that would probablly be more attractive since these cars never came with them. They paved they way for the following years to get them!

Now you got it. Nice job!

Count me in for a couple.

Is adhesive side on front ( for inside mounting) or back for (outside mounting)?

Again, I am sure I speak for the forum when I say thanks for taking the time to put these together.

Ok, truly the last time I fiddle with the designs. I think they are as faithful as they will be.

I think they're great. To have an original is special, but for those of us who merely want to celebrate the 1st gen, the 1985 sticker is perfect.

Jim can you send a link to the vinyl you are using for these? I put together a custom sticker for my 85 and wanted to print it out with front face adhesive...

I'm always surprised how well the original's hold up after 30+ years. When I bought my SE, the paint was shot but the sticker looked great!
