I'm turbo shopping and need help.

I'm looking for some turbo about the size of the T-2 turbo, but all the A/R numbers confuse me and all I know is if its too big, you wont find the power till way up high. I'm trying to get a turbo just good enough for some auto-cross and 1/8 mile times fun. I have looked at this so far: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6755

how big is this turbo, like too big or will it get full boost before 6k or what?.. please help?

Damn, that's a TINY turbo, not nearly big enough. That thing will probably have full boost at 2k and completely die by 5k. What kinda power are you looking to make? For up to 280rwph(maybe a bit more) you can use a TII turbo which is between a t3 and t4. It has good responce and will make up to 17psi on a 12a.

I want to make reliable horse, easily.. I could say 250 would be nice but not if its gonna kill my milage and possibly engine. 10 lbs would be like a non-race setting and would only take it higher for short times at drag strips and some auto-x's for fun. Eventually i'll be stepping up to TBI and a nice computer all in time. But for non-injection setup is what I'm talking about resonable? This is also after a rebuild.

Get a TII turbo. Hondas don't even use T-2's. That's too small. We have a high reving engine. You can always limit the boost via the wastegate.

I've been told that the stock T2 turbo is about the same as a T28 and in between a T3 and T4. This was by a turbo shop from ebay, so I'll somewhat take their word, being as they had ALOT of turbos..

Anex 570, I too want to keep my engine alive, when i buy my turbo im going for a small turbo, i also want the fastest spoolup time possible. I'll be keeping my boost between 5 - 8 psi.

I don't get it either. A few months ago there were tons of people doing it, and now most people are selling their ****, only a few people sticking with it to make it run right. If you've never done anything like this before, it does take some playing with to get right, but it's well worth it when it's done
