I'm now a prowd SE owner....

A couple weeks ago I posted a wanted ad for a stock, low mile 84 or 85 SE. I had a few leads, one promising one from a board member. In any case, I just closed the deal on a beautiful, low mileage SE. It's Tender blue with grey interior. It's in nearly flawless condition - in and out - and has 48,000 original miles. I'm so freakin excited that the wait of two weeks to ship from the Midwest to Cali is going to be excruciatingly sloooowww.

In any case, there's another thread about the prices of Gen 1 cars. The right car in the right condition to the right person is going to sell well. The person I bought my car received a strong price, but it was still well bought in my mind. Low mileage, original, Gen 1's (especially SE's due to their limited original quantities and subsequent survivor rate) are for the most part undervalued. There are probably a number of reasons that we could debate, but suffice to say I can't imagine this to continue for the long term.

So, if you're sitting on one you should rejoice....if you're looking for one, there's nothing like the present. Kevin

Bravo!

I experienced a great purchase like that. I was able to find a mint condition 82, silver with black interior, sitting behind a gas station, and I saved her.

Post pics when she comes! I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Thanks...I expect delivery at the end of the month and will definitely post pics. I hope to find time to be an active participant in this forum because their appear to be some good folks around here.

In any case, I'll leave you with the following line from Speed TV's Muscle Car show...."restore em....don't crush em". Cheers. Kevin

Congrats! I'd love to have a low mileage bone stock SE. It's so wierd to drive a stock vs. a modded one. I've got a bone stock 83 with 74k and its a blast to drive just that way it was when new.
