Exclamation im fed up with this!!!!!

i have been tryin to fit my stupid oil pressure sender that i got from autometer when i bought my new guage and first i needed the male fitting alittle longer to clear part of the rear plate i tryed to get a 1/8 npt female and 1/8" straight or parallel (<sp.) but could not find any after going to all my local car and hardware stores.........i bought a 1/8"npt on both sides since ya'll side it owuld fit but not the best idea....went just now to put it in thinking yes finally can put this behind me instead of trying to go places to find a fitting and then it wouldnt even catch on the block......so.......

will anyone help me out on the right fitting i need??!!!!!!!!????!!!!!!

Yea, use a pipe nipple long enough to clear the housing, then a 90* elbow to get the sender to fit facing sideways. I used a tee so I could also have an oil temp gauge, but im using mechanical gauges so no senders.

Hmmmm I dunno why it doesnt fit. I had no trouble with a 1/8" npt fitting.

Uhg, just get yourself a 1/8 BSP to NPT adaptor and a very short street or mini extension fitting if necessary to clear the edge of your rear plate. Carl, I wouldn't keep touting the NPT straight to plate stuff. Doing it with the right adaptor leads to less brass chunks in the oil filter. Oh, and the ability to remove and reuse it in the future. Nothing like the crushed threads on an NPT sender to make you go hmm.
