I'm BACK! Bought an 83 GS weekend!

Well, it's official! I'm back in business with a new 83 GS. Many of you may or may not remember the 85 GS that I saved from the crusher and restored to glory. I have included pictures below. It was about a 2 year project, which I traded for a 93 Acura Integra GS-R. Well, long story short I ended up selling the Integra, went without a project for a while and finally couldn't take it any longer.

My 85 GS has since fallen into the hands of another rotary nut, Kim's FB. She has supercharged the old beast and added quite a few nice other upgrades. Easily one of the nicest cars on the forum now. I'm proud to say that I put in some of the work on that amazing car.

Anyway... back to the current story

I saw this 83 GS and got a pretty good deal on it. Best part of all is that it only has 90k and is totally rust free. I can take care of the rest from there.

I'm hoping for a nice all around buildup. This being my second go at it, I expect things to progress much faster and cheaper. I'm glad to be back and stay tuned for updates!

Nice car you got there. You did a real nice job on that 85. I saw your vid on Youtube and its put together quite well. Same type of story as my car. If I hadn't have bought it, it probably would have went to the crusher. Now its in a lot better shape than before, with very few of the same parts as I bought it with. Basically, the body is stock with half the drivetrain stock, but its got 84 spindles, 88 6 port engine, custom fuel cell install, custom gauge cluster, 89 GXL seats, 84 tall rad, among other things. Anyway, enough with my project, where do you plan to go with this? Stock resto, resto mod, or full out modded beast?

I guess you could say that I'm kind of doing my own grassroots motorsports type challenge. I am attempting to build the fastest, lightest, best handling, nicest looking car with as few dollars as possible. I think with all the first gen experience I have gained already I should do okay...
