ignition switch swapped out
the dealer said he couldn't get a new one,i couldn't find a used one from a 1st gen so me and a friend put i '90 ignition switch in my '85.it had to be modifed a little but it works great.alot tighter than all my old 7s.
just thought i let you guys know it works.

nice. how did you do it? i can never even get the unit with blinkers and wipers off without cracking the back on any of my parts cars. kinda wanna get new locks too
