Ignition switch bad from dealer?
I tried soldering a power wire directly onto my ignition switch ( I know bad idea), after that, the switch stopped working, all I could do was turn over the engine, no accessoires or ON power whatsoever. Power goes in but does not come out.
So I get a NEW switch from the dealer and all works well. but sometimes the ON power was acting up, I needed to crank the engine before it turned on!, and after a few tests (one or two hours playing around with the haltech) I was simply not getting anymore power to the ON position
I get 12.7v at the battery, 11.7 entering the switch, and only 5.4v at the acesssories exit of the switch. So its back to doing what the first one was doing.
Could it be a bad switch from the dealer? or is there something that can be frying my switch?
