ignition module blues
I am still stuck at the crossroads trying to figure out the trick to getting a hei module (you happy peejay) to work. The setup I am trying is running 14awg wires from the dist. to the W and G pins on the module located on the strut tower using 1" angled aluminum as a mounting bracket. Off of the B and C pins is 14awg wires running back to the connector normally connect to the j109. I hooked a timing light up and a got a few hits but far from a steady ignition.
I did a bench test using a light bulb in place of the coil and plug (still used a dist. as the trigger and a 12v source) and it appeared to be working as designed. So this is where I am now. Any Ideas?
