12A engines are actually more durable than the later 13Bs. They can take a ton of
abuse. Don't diss the 12A gods

Ok ok sheesh i wont bash the 12a haha. No matter how duralble they are or arent i still wouldnt put a v8 in my 7....its like an oxymoron lol.

I was debating about putting a 13b in but maybe just a rebuil with aome mild porting would be better for me and my current setup

If it is a stuck seal you can try soaking the engine in seafoam or mmo for a few
days and just turn it by hand a bit each day. I've seen folks save an engine rebuild
this way. User ray green here on the forum is famous for doing this.

Never heard of MMO or Sea Foam fixing it - only heard of ATF soaking...but only do it if you need to.

Not feeling like taking the exhaust off to have a look see while laying in 2 feet of snow. My next wanted to buy thread will be for a garage lol.

Considering a 13b anyway, but I would like to know what my problem is (lol)

Seems like it may have been something ignition related, but I'm not fully convinced yet. I replaced the cap and rotor.....and wow what a difference. Runs like it used to, no issues now. Hard to believe. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks and see how it is.

Thanks for the help guys.

Well hey...u got it right haha. I had no reason to suspect this as the problem. Thanks for the help, i like posts like yours....simple help without going for the extreme. I dont like it when people suggest things like a sticking seal or crazy rotor related problems. Dont get me wrong, its all help, but just too extreme
