The "L" and "T" coils should go straight to the "L" and "T" on the distributor cap. L1 is left side bottom plug. T1 is left side top plug. T2 is right side top plug. L2 is right side bottom plug.

I hope this helps, I'm 95% sure on this.

thats pretty much how it is , from the L coil it runs to top of the distributor were its marked L1 then coil T runs to the top of the cap were its marked T1 , then the spark plug wires are ran to there designated locations .......could bad ignitors be the prob?.......thanks guys

Leading coil to distributor "L"
Trailing coil to distributor "T"

The T1 - L1 and T2 - L2 refers to the "cylinder" numbers
1 being the front and 2 being the rear.

When I bought my moms vert it had similar issues though it would start. try changes the wires. that was the issue w/ m moms.one of the wires were bad. also check the modules on the distributer. how do the plugs look? i bought a T2 that had old plugs and got a deal b/c of some fouled plugs. If you want I got extra plugs and some old but good wires at the house call me if you want to try em out.
