ignition coil wiring?

Hey guys can someone please tell me which 2 wires goes to the leading and trailing coil? I did some rewiring and moved my battery to the rear and now I'm not getting any power to my coils. I checked power going to both my MSD boxes and theres power with the key on from the stock pos. coil wires but for some reason its not making it to the coils. I just want to double check my work but I cant remember which coil wires goes to what coil. They look identicle except for the neg. wires. LOL!

Thanks, Ed

The 2 wires should be a yellow with a green stripe to the trailing coil on the negative side and a black with white stripe going to both + sides. The leading coil negative side should be a yellow with a blue stripe.

Okay I pulled the MSD boxes out and just hooked up my 2nd gen coil directfire set up for now and I have power at the coils. I'll leave it like this until the cars up and running then I'll attempt to hook the boxes back up.

Thanks, Ed

I was looking at these wires myself and it seems that they are wired into an additional block on the shock tower close to the fusible links. I already purchased my upgraded alternator but am pretty much afraid to do the 2nd gen fuse box swap until I understand how these coils use the fusible links and this "mystery block".

Found a pic of my "mystery block". Those two white blocks on the left are wired to my coils. I don't see them in any of my books and they are in such good condition overall that I suspect they are an upgrade or replacement of some sort. At any rate, I want all of that crap on the wall gone!

Those 2 white blocks are ballast resistors.

Thanks, Ed

A previous poster explained to me that they were part of the ignition system but I haven't seen them on other cars (lack of pictures?). Is there a common upgrade I can do to get rid of these? What is there purpose if you don't mind me bugging you?

I want the wirese in my engine bay as simple as possible and what remains, as clean as possible. Having misc wires and resistor type blocks hanging on the walls sucks.

Anyone know if DLIDFIS or 2GCDFIS use those ballast resistors?

I seriously would prefer something simple like this image or to atleast understand what I do have enough to ensure each piece is reliable and somewhat "beefy". I hate having cars with weak electricals.
