I need to resurect this thread. I'm having the same issue as the origional person who started this thread. My car won't hold an idle. My carb only has the one adjusting screw, and instead of the air adjust screw, it has a vacuum line that runs over the top of the carb to the other. I do see another screw toward the back that looks like it moves the linkage, but nothing that goes into the carb to adjust he air. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. It has only been thirty years since I have messed with a carbureter.
