idle problems

idle problems

i got a 80 rx-7 that idles way to high 1500RPM. i got dual weber carbs, rb headers n exhaust, & rats nest removed. i think the timing is correct. leading mark is at 2' , can't check my trailing for some reason it don't work with the timing gun i got. does any body how i can fix this problem. and can you tell me if my timing is correct. thanks

have you tryed turning down the fuel on the carb? at idle adjust the side screws just tone it down a bit.

for some reason the idle adjust screw don't work. i took the carb out the car and cleaned it with some carb cleaner. still don't work

Always indicative of a vacuum leak somewhere...time for the can of carb cleaner or cold start...
