Idle Problem

bought an 84 gl last night for 150 bucks from some arab dude. Has 60000 on the new motor (have proof) and a straight body and a dece interior. The reason i got the car so cheap is because i and he cannot get the damn car to idle. once you get it above 2 grand the car runs just fine. im sure the carb could use a cleaning and a tunin but how could i get the thing to idle? wheres the adjust screw located? thanks
