Check out the pic. does anyone know haow to adjust this properly. I dont see it listed in the manual anywere. the bottom links are to my other post about the same problem. This screw sit on the top left side of the throttle body. kinda a PITA to get ahold of.Thanks Guys

I have read that link infact i have it printed out and in my garage. But it wont tell you the order in which to adjust things if more than one thing is out of adjustment. So i guess the real question would be. when i set the Throttle stop screw whould the AAS be Closed/Open. Because once i set it i still need room to set the fuel air mixture, and redo the TPS. Is there an order in which to do these things so i only have to go threw the adjustments once. Or is this something you just have to go threw abunch of times till i get a good combo..

You have correctly identified this as the Throttle Stop Adjustment, but it's not something that you use to adjust idle speed. It is merely a 'hard-stop' for the throttle rods to prevent the engine from dying during ACV operation.

Best bet is to set the TPS (2-light or multimeter), adjust the throttle stop so that the engine won't die when you let off the gas (about 600rpm is good), and then adjust idle air bleed (top of TB) for correct idle rpm ~900-1000, and then adjust the Variable Rheostat (idle mix) to best idle quality.

Done in this order, you don't have to mess with the BACV and idle compensation. HTH,

Went out today to kinda run threw things and the car wont idle at all. It will start and idle with the fast idle cam engaged and thats it as soon as its warmed up it dies. Im really not sure what im doing wrong. I removed the throttle body after i could'nt keep it running at all. cleaned and lubed everything in there. everything looked fairly nice. still no idle at all. i think the car really needs somewhat of a steady idle high or low to even try to play with these settings. Any ideas as to how to get it to idle again.

Not sure if this helps or not but my BAC is blocked off completely. i have no power steering or A/C so i did not see the need for it. Ran fine with it block so im sure thats not the problem. just thought id add more info

The BACV isn't in effect at idle. You check to see if your AFM flapper is sticking, or scritchy (technical term)? Why may i ask did you disconnect your BACV, it serves a purpose?

we were trying to take it out of the senario. thought it might have failed and was letter to much air in the system. so i blocked it off. i have no A/C and no P/S so me and a resident 7 pro thought it might help in finding the problem. The origanal problem was a high idle. I have checked the AFM but will do so again now that the temp. has changed abit..

Well i unpluged that BAC and went to start it up. And i had forgotten to take the key out of the ignition.... LMAO so i guess i will have to wait for the snow to melt before i can see the fruits of my labors. Will keep you guys posted if any one thinks of anything let me know please.
