idiot lights coming on...

I was getting on the highway the other day, doing about 50 on the onramp (270* turn), and i checked my gauges, and an idiot light flashed for a brief second, then shut off just as i started to straighten out. I was wondering if it could have been my oil level sensor or maybe a low coolant light. Has anyone had this happen before?

My washer fluid light will light up like that if less than half full. Tends to light up during hard turns or braking.

Yup..def could be the oil light, your oil could be getting low and when the car is on a bend/angle the oil would move around in the pan at could set the sensor off because it cannot feel any oil.

That or coolant, air in the system, check your overfill bottle and when its cool check the rad cap, could need a little top up to satisfy the sensor.

My washer fluid light did that all the time, drove me nuts because it wouldn't stay on long enough to let me see which light it was.

i don't have a washer bottle anymore, pump doesn't work. fresh oil change, had just checked the level earlier in the day, it was full up, and my coolant is over the full line when cold, and above the full line when hot, and it's green. i'm assuming that it's just my sensor getting uncovered from the cornering loads. Does anyone make a baffled oil pan to keep the oil in check under high cornering loads?

I've had this problem before, drive really fast and put the car into a spin and then look down to see which light(s) come on

i'm only kidding , don't really do it!
