I am in the process of restoring my 79 back to the original A9- Daytona Blue. My painter asked me if I wanted to do anything special to it. I have been scouring the net for pictures of custom jobs looking for some old school early 80's paint schemes. I decided to put this on here to see if anyone has any archived pix of 1st gen paint jobs. Also if you have any photoshop skills maybe you can post some reditions of possible paint schemes. If I see something I like it may get integrated into the paint job. Thanks ahead of time for all the ideas and creativity about to come forth! I look forward to seeing some really cool stuff.

 

Here's one I'd like to have back. the rally stripe was a ghost stripe. The zoom-zoom was a vinyl sticker put down before the stripe was painted, then peeled off. it looked really good.
