icbc offered me 2400

icbc called me for my written off 83 7 (wasnt my fault) and offered me 2400, the car had a brand new from mazda ( last one ever sold brand new in canada or us) a 6pt full chromoly roll cage, mazda rebuilt 5000km on motor, mikuni 44 racing carbs, custom spoiler .
yaaa im buying it back
what do you guys think, im pissed cause the cage is welded in, and i wont be able to even find another 7 to swap the other parts into in the same condition for that price. any tips from people who have bargained sweet deals from icbc before? thanks

don't except the first 2 offers. unless your in a bind and need the money right away. and make sure your offer is to keep the car also.

Cut out the cage with a cutting torch. Then just weld it into another car.

Chromoly is a BIATCH to weld compared to mild steel. Got to be done right by someone who knows what they are doing or it won't be worth having in the car. Depends on what you want to do, but often it is cheaper to cut the top off of the car and transplant the cage with minimal welding, then weld the roof(s) back on......

lol, i can get my brother who installs cages for a profession at chief chassis, to take it out for me, he put it in, and it only cost me materials. ( for my birthday) but it can be transplanted easily enough it may be a bit shorter than before though, because it is difficult to cut through the welds, but it will work
