i want some noise and better exhaust flow!!

Hi everyone, i got a full RB set up( header, big cat and a muffler) i want some noise and more flow because this big *** cat is very restrictive, so should i take the cat out and beat the honey comb out of it and put it back on, or put a straight pipe or prescilencer. i wanna make some noise but not like a 454 big block noise. what should i go with?

Hello,

If you have a full RB exhaust why are you woried about hollowing out your cat? The full RB exhaust replaces the cat.

What exactly is this "big cat" you're refering to?

The full RB setup includes: #1 the header #2 the presilencer (I have a feeling this is what you're calling the big cat. It's not a cat, it's a presilencer. and you want to keep it. just the way it is. don't beat the **** out of it) #3 the intermidiate pipe and muffler.

If you have all three of those things. Install them in that order and your car will sound great. Not too loud, not too quiet.

I hope I understood you correctly. If I didn't and you don't have a presilencer, buy one.

Good luck,

--Alex

That 20" longx4" thing IS the RB presilencer....if you want the car louder...take it out. Go to a muffler shop and they can easily fab up a pipe..probably for under $30...if you get it flanged, you can replace the straight pipe when you get sick of the noise.

BTW..if it is a 12a model presilencer, it probably does not have the inside diameter a 13B version has...that may also be another option.

The RB presilencer in not restrictive.

Your car will sound better with it, than without it. I promise. I've heared many (with and without)

Sell the RB system, then buy an SDJ header, Borla Xr-1 as your presilencer, and then use any rice cannon you want as your muffler

Hmmm i like that idea. What i was thinking about doing was using the RB header and now using (what you just said) that borla XR-1 as the presilencer then go straight to my magnaflow muffler that i have now. I bet that would sound nice!
